  • Confused by the 'groups' on here...?

Hi. Sorry, probably not the best place to ask this, but I can't find anywhere more obvious... I was browsing around in my Profile the other day and discovered Groups, for the first time! Observant eh? But I'm confused - I joined one, but now what? Do I get notified when people post, like in the forums? What's the difference between a forum and a group? Where are they advertised on the site? They don't seem to be listed anywhere except in my profile... How do groups recruit members? I set one up for fun, but I have no idea what to do next! Can anyone clarify please, "Groups for Dummies", that sort of thing? Ta

Yes, join the club! I am a member of some groups but I don't think many people bother with them these days.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

I think I'm a member of something against Ironing, the Nutters, and It's cold on the Norty Step or something? I'm not sure what they're for really - maybe other people just like us grouped together so they know who to avoid

I don't understand the groups or the friends bit on here, to me a forum is one big open discussion between everybody. Can understand subscribing to certain threads if you're very interested in a specific topic but other than that totally beyond me.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I rather wish I had joined the Beatles when I was younger. I certainly wouldnt be running round making pots out of newspaper now.
As for groups on the forum, I am in the Nutters group as that was the only one for which I was suitably quailified.

..and you are still on probation for that group, in case it's put on

Ah but if you're daft enough to pretend to be a nutter, it just proves you must be one.

Anyone can join `Nutters'. We have secret meetings and everything. We have a secret handshake and a password, and only one stipulation to join!... ;D
You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...

I'm an official nutter - an official 'cropper' of a nutter! I am sooooo pleased to be a cropper! Hurrah!

BB the thing about meetings is you have to tell someone apart from yourself

but then doing something like that is a sign of a true 'Nutter'

I can say with confidence the no actual nute were used in forming this group.
