Picked up mine this morning and the propagator. Any idea what to put in the propagator at the moment keeping in mind I don't have a green house but I do have cold frames though cold is the operative word at the moment
I've just planted mine with, basil, tomato, cucumber (it says on packet for outside), broccoli, and some peppers, 'hotscotch( also says ok for outside, eventually. Also got another window sill prop with broad beans. All in spare room.
I only popped in to Aldi for some bread - and left with 4 of the windowsill props!!
Also, if any of you have a B&M store near by they are doing multibuy deals on bulbs, seed potatoes (good few varieties), garlic, shallots, onions, etc - i picked up 2 packets of Charlotte seed potatoes and shallots sets for £5!!
I love a garden bargain.............think i need to join GA (Gardeners anonymous)!!
I just noticed that THESE have an electric prop at the same price as Aldi, and same size as far as I can tell. Don't know what they are like but if you don't have an Aldi near by these do free delivery over £20.
I looked at them in my Aldi over the weekend, and had to keep my hands in my pockets.
The Aldi window prop is 20 cell for £2 .... I picked up a 40 cell one from B&Q this weekend for the same price. Build quality was rather laughable, but functional. Downside is it's all one insert, so you can't lift out a small panel to bottom water. I also got a 72 cell one for £5 which is better quality, and is split into smaller inserts/modules which makes it a bit easier
I picked the last 3 up from ours. They have fruit trees for £3.99 from next Thursday. I shall be down for a couple of plum trees. Got an apple tree from them last year and had 3 lbs of fruits... not bad for the first year.
