Digging up green manure?

Will it be ok to dig in some of my green maure? It's still very wet ( obviously) , but I have some broad beans inside at home that are about 2 inches high, and need to be moved on. Or safer to pot them up for couple weeks.

I suppose it'll be a couple of weeks for the 'green manure' to die down anyone, will the bbeans be ok? They are in one of those window sill propagators.

Ah, now there's a question, it was a 'mixture' , rye grass, something that looks pea, phala..... something. This year I used 3 different mixed packets to see how it does, it's about 8 inches now, so assume will take a few weeks to rot down. Was just planning to dig enough space to move the BB into

OK. Get some shears and cut the tops of the green manure off to just above soil level, then fork it into the bed.

Keep your beans cool and light now they've germinated and you will be able to plant them out in a week or so after you've dug the green manure in.

How warm are they indoors? If you don't harden them off a bit, they'll go all black if we get a cold snap

That's what I do: I don't fork or dig anything into the soil. I allow it to be a mulch on the surface, just parting the mulch when I go to plant something

They are in an unheated room, will stick them in 'plastic' thingy outside to harden them off before planting out on plot. Have chopped the green manure and just dug it into surface a bit this morning, ready to plant them out in couple of weeks. Sowed some more seeds yesterday, so hopefully I'll have another lot in a month or so.

I leave mine to self-seed (and to keep on growing). I only pull the GMs up as a last resort, if I need the space for a crop.

Otherwise, they stay, all year round.
