Crikey, just a bit. Read the packet It will say one pellet per four inches, or thereabouts.

More isn't better in this case: that many pellets will just repel the slugs, they won't eat any. Then they'll wander off and eat something else, instead of being deaded. You want to use them as "bait" and lure them to eat it, ie one little blue sweetie to finish off the slug.
