Hello All,
Hope all is well...
I have a slightly annoying scenario here, which has come about my inability to think things through and plan properly... Last year was my first year growing onions from sets, went really well, I was pleased with my modest but tasty harvest... They also lasted ages so we decided to grow some more this year but up the scale...
I put in 150 onion, shallot and garlic sets/bulbs I think about a month ago... and in a nutshell... now I want to move them hahaha... ridiculous I know but what do people think? A few of the garlics have some sprouts, maybe a couple of the onions but not too much going on... I read somewhere that someone moved some garlic buibs with a bulb planter... what do you guys reckon?
Reasons for moving is as simple as this, I only have my reatively narrow garden to grow veg in and the middle is grass and I just grow in a 4 foot deep boarder to one side. Unfortunately I wacked them in right near the patio and stuff and have since thought I'd rather I had some more showy bits up that end as opposed to relatively short, uninteresting onions... Its the end we sit at after all...
