Out of the chilli growers which of your plants are doing the best??

My cayenne purple have shot up in size the last few days since re potting my jalapeño plants not far behind cherry bomb dumpy but looking like it will be a stumped and bushy plant normal cayenne there not to bad and the Anaheim and Habs are the slowest!

I do have a few surprise plants but not disclosing them due to them not amounting to much last year I lost them in the later cold/snow snap!

How's everyone else getting on?

I have about 30 that vary in size from about 1 inch to 3 inches. I have two tabasco plants that i have overwintered that i chopped back to just the stem at about 10cm. These two plants are now regrowing nicely with lots of new growth

I haven't sown mine for this year yet! At the start of Feb I ordered a new batch of seeds online, and owing to some mix up in the supply chain, the seeds only turned up the other day. So I shall sow them this weekend, though I suspect I'm cutting it a bit fine.

I have ten plants overwintered from last year, which started re-shooting a couple of weeks ago. My Moruga Scorpian (2nd hottest) is among the healthiest, which I'm very pleased about I got a bumper crop off it last year (what a difference a bit of sun makes).

I have two plants, both Hot Lemon, overwintered for the second year running, and they're both covered in new buds. I've said before, Hot Lemon overwinter better than most.
Joe's Long, Espelette, and Big Jim, all perished. (Sowing more Espelette this year).

I have two plants overwintered for the third year running - Tokyo Hot (very similar to cayenne). This is pretty woody now, so I'll compost it in the autumn regardless. And Trinidad Scorpian, which has had to be cut back by about 80% but looks like it'll survive.

Cutting it fine I reckon you'll be alright read that were in for a bloody good summer this year

But I'd be inclined to agree. Last winter was very wet too (not quite on a par with this one, but still), and led to a some glorious sunny days. Hopefully the pattern will repeat.

I am bit confused with the plan with chillies I have 2 seedlings doing well about 3-3 inches on the window sill. I don't have a green house so would they need to stay on the sill for there life or can they go out side in the summer ?
I do plan to pop few more in too (chilli pepper de cayenne)

I usually put them in the greenhouse mid may if I had a greenhouse in the garden they would be out start of April through the day and into the house at night

My over-wintered scotch bonnets are by far the biggest. But they are also dead. Which is annoying as this years seed hasn't germinated (yet) either.

Sorry, and the sensible answer - serranos, about 10cm. They always seem to roll along quite quickly.
