            It's not unusual - in fact it's probably the most widely grown crop in the world - but I've never seen wheat being grown on an allotment. A farmer friend of mine reckons you can make a loaf of bread from one square metre of wheat. I tried it once, but I think I used some funny seed - garden centres don't really sell wheat seed.
