    10 minutes should be plenty, 5 minutes may well be enough.

      Thanks both. I think I have been over watering them each time, and have only been doing it every few days. I'll try little and often from now on

        Hi Indigo, My daughter is 3.

        And she actually does not normally smile like that, she usually does a massive smile and shows her teeth.

        That was her cheesy smile!!!!

          No, not little and OFTEN. Wait until the pot feels light, then stand in water for about ten minutes. The water should only be about half an inch deep - the compost will suck it up into the pot.

            Thanks Rustylady. I don't entirely understand your first sentence (why is often in capitals?) but the instructions are useful.
