That's usually when I start I have just joined a chilli growing group and everyone is feeding already I have of course left a few un-fed as to see if there are any real Benifits but after 2days the fed ones have had a growth spurt

Sorry if this is a basic question, but why do you take off the flowers? My one surviving lemondrop is covered in flower buds from living on the very sunny windowsill.

I take them off when there only small plant as it encourages root and top growth instead of putting energy into pods thus having a lot more pods later in the season

On an overwintered plant I would not really bother removing as it will have roots from the previous year

          Ah! *lightbulb moment*
It's a very, very sturdy plant which I've been feeding with comfrey.
          Thanks!

The plants I'm talking about are only 5-6 maybe 7 inches big

Biobizz grow... used weekly until they start to flower/form fruits and diluted at 5ml per litre of water ...

Biobizz bloom ....used weekly when the plants start to bloom and used until harvest ... diluted at 5ml per litre of water

Biobizz alg-a-mic (a blend of seaweed and algae) ... used as a foliar feed every 2nd week ... diluted at 5ml per litre of water

Biobizz fish mix .... used as a foliar feed every 2nd week (when not using alg-a-mic) and diluted at 5ml per litre of water

bat guano ... a teaspoon around each plant 3 weeks after planting .... then a teaspoon every month

volcanic rock dust .... I add a thin layer on the beds twice a year

I also make my own compost and vermicompost

iI use actively aerated compost tea ... I brew my own using worm compost, forest soil, unsulphered molasses, seaweed extract, humic and fulvic acid .... I brew this for between 24-36hrs using an airpump and heater and apply weekly (24hrs gives you a bacterial dominant tea and 36rs-48rs of brewing creates a fungal dominant tea)

surprisingly, using the above is not expensive (biobizz costs approx £30 for 5 litres and when diluted, you have 1000 litres of nutrients) ... I use the above on all my plants (veg/fruit, garden plants and house plants) aswell as my clients plants/veg

I've been using a relatively new product called Chilli Boost it has been working great guns. Even some of my poorly plants have recovered and are going great guns with this stuff. I thoroughly recommend it.

Can you keep us updated on this little experiment, I am interested to see if it is worth starting feeding now

I only start feeding when the flowers start. I use the juice (diluted with water) from my worm bin. I'm too tight to buy chilli/tomato feed.

A camera might be better for photos than your crutches or have you been given ones with extra features along with the Darth Vader boot?
