Heres a plan then, I could grow the sundance in the garden and the swift in the pollytunnel, that should stop them cross pollinating shouldnt it? Is it possible to grow sweetcorn in a poly? The tops may be a bit bent.

I know that people do and I think they do tend to get a lot taller. I never have as I think they do OK outdoors and my tunnel is always ram packed with the things that really do need the space. However, if you do have the space then give it a go.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I grow them (Swift specifically) in my greenhouse. My "cropping house" has a relatively low roof, for a greenhouse, so you might be OK in a poly tunnel. I don't give mine much encouragement, with Nitrogen, but the greenhouse soil is fertile. I plant them at quite lax spacing and interplant with Peppers and Aubergines, grown on in pots and planted "late", and take the early crop of Sweetcorn to then allow the follow on crops some space.
