Hello everybody im new and need advice ives built a raised allotment bed and having 5 ton of mushroom compost and 5 ton of grade 1 soil to fill it with and then attempting to grow vegetable s like the usual potatoes, carrots, onions, and carrots and so on .am I doing anything wrong with the mix of soil bedding and so on.is there pit falls I might come across.advice would be grateful

Mushroom is generally alkaline, so you would do best with something that likes or at least tolerates an alkaline soil.
Not sure if mushroom compost at 50/50 mix is too much compost but cannot see why it should be.
Mainly look into the soil type that whatever vugetable you want to plant will tolerate.
Brassicas tend to like alkaline soil.

I would do a small 50/50 mix and then do a PH test, this will help you decide what you can grow in the first year.
Good new is a mate of mine used spent mushroom mix and had a great crop of ...............mushrooms.
