Picked my first................2014

Today it was the turn of the first green pepper. Just a little one about 2cm long, from the snackbite orange plant. The plant has stopped flowering so it probably thinks it has enough peppers (there were 7) so I thought I would see if I could wake it up again. Still waiting for the bigger fruit to start to turn orange.

2 french beans, 2 baby carrots and a small courgette. The peas are there to show the sizes:

I had a furtle in the potato bags in the hope there might be some baby ptoatoes too (Pentland Javelin) but the biggest I could find was the size of a marble so I left them.

My first cucumber! I decided to pick it young because the other half doesn't like cucumbers, and a full-sized one would be too much for one person. It was amazingly crunchy. Best cucumber I've ever had.
