My first potatoes. Was planning on waiting another week but couldn't resist having a look. Surprised to get so many. Will have them with salad for tea tonight.

My courgettes are still in the four leaf phase. However, my strawberry harvest is nearly over after kilos of them- I obviously have a very early variety!Comment

Picked my first Sugar snap peas this weekend. Made some soup with the peas/pods, tops of bolting spinach and bolting brussels sprouts and pak choy, used own mint. Only bought item was a potato I had lurking in my veg rack but that may change this week as my spuds are nearly ready to harvest. I am a newbie to this, no allotment, no garden, just a gravel patch and all in containers! I live in sheltered housing, all the other old ladies have beautiful floral displays, I have beautiful veggies! I wonder who envys who? First time I have posted on this forum but thanks to you all I have been reading and learning from you since Febuary. I live on the Isle of Man so have to cope with windy conditions at times. Only sowed the amount of veg I need for one, (the snails have had some too) carrots, lettuce,runner beans and I have a baby courgette growing and a chilli pepper plant with chilies. Not all succesful, the gooseberry bush and rhubarb are struggling in old fishing boxes. Will maybe get better at this garden lark next year. Thanks to you allComment
