  • Courgette problem?

No the glut has not started yet

I have noticed that one of my courgette plants (still in greenhouse) has a verticle split in the main stem about 2 1/2" long going from the soil level. Good sized plant and ready to go out side.

Is this disease? or a watering issue? The plant looks fine and is starting to flower. Just panicing in case it effects the rest of them or anything else.

    Thanks, Mandy

It's still worth planting them out, even if it is slug damage, i find that something new pops up or happens every day in the garden, and i learn from each and every thing!

I agree it is worth planting them out I found two of mine (in pots in the the greenhouse) like that a couple of weeks ago and they are still growing strong.
