      I wonder about sowing in September in pots, letting em grow a bit then cutting down and saving till the spring? Any thoughts?

        Not sure if it made any difference but mine had started to die back when I potted them up. I'd already left them for ages so I could collect the dried beans for seed so they had a really good root system.
        Location....East Midlands.
