So gotthe new plot and plenty to deal with, plot is 8mtrs x 17mtrs so not the largest but will do me, tarpaulins should arrive tomorrow before it gets any worse and purchased a petrol strimmer to tackle borders etc.

As posted yesterday I am going to work in raised beds as it will help with rotation and management. I have attached a few pics to show the starting point......quite lucky really.

You can get a lot of stuff out of a small space with a bit of planning. You'll soon get it under control.

Nice one Greenleaves- lots of Comfrey then! Still not to late to get some spuds in, the comfrey can go in with each tuber- good start

You may need to use wet newspapers under the tarps: they don't tend to block the light very well on their own

My veg plot in the garden is probably a similar size and I find raised beds work very well. It helps to always have something ready in trays to follow each crop to maximise the space.raised beds take some filling. Any plans on what you are going to use. I used half soil from the paths, homemade compost and soil conditioner ( v cheap in bulk) from the local tip to fill mine. Keep us posted.

Have order 4 tonne of veg soil for raised beds, used it before and is very good. Not the most economical solution but hey you only live once and the season is ticking by
