Cucumber plant issue or not ??

Hi all,

My cucumber plants were started quite early in a heated greenhouse and started to grow brilliantly. I have now planted them in a bed within the greenhouse and they have stopped !!!

They are about 10-12 inches tall and are flowering etc etc..

I am unsure what to do if anything ? Do I leave them do I remove the fruit ? Do I remove flowers ?

Any help you can give would be great




Edit : I added the spray bottle to give you some idea on height.. The type of cucumber is marketmore

It looks fine to me,what it will be doing is settling in,literally finding it's roots,give time and some sunshine,a plant will also flower early if it is a bit stressed in a smaller pot ,am guilty as charged,they should be fine given the time,

There is a school of thought that it is worth taking off the first few flowers that develop - as, if allowed to ripen, they fool the plant into thinking that it has done-its-job and it doesn't produce any more flower "for ages", whereas if the first few are taken off it quickly flowers some more - and carries on flowering non-stop. Dunno why that would be though ... but I do take the first few flowers off mine.

Your plant is yellow at the bottom a sign of lack of nitrogen, but probably caused by being moved, once new roots are established it will be fine, just go easy on the watering as cucumbers are very sensitive to over watering. You can add an extra mound of moist compost around the base of the plant to encourage more new roots as well.

I always remove the early small cucumbers, flowers and shoots on young plants, in fact I just leave a couple of cucumbers on the main stem higher up and grow my cucumbers off they shoots, you get a far higher yield and not so many cucumbers turning yellow at about an inch long as there is less strain on the plant.
