I bought a bag of Maris Piper seed potatoes from the garden centre weeks ago, probably at least 6-8 weeks ago.
They disappeared and we had assumed they had accidentally got caught up with stuff that was taken to the dump.
However they have just turned up. They've been wedged in a corner of a cold porch behind a solid unit where they obviously slipped behind but there wasn't enough space for them to fall to the ground which is why they weren't found till now. (Ironically we looked under the unit in case they had got pushed under by mistake, never thought they could have fitted behind it.)
Anyway, they are very shrivelled and wrinkled looking but have lots of chits.
Are they too past it to plant now?
They would be going in potato growing pots so I'd have to buy compost for them. Don't want to waste money doing that if they are unlikely to grow properly.
