I grew some last year just in MPC and they did very well. This year I have sown some directly into a large plastic toy box in MPC, its about14 inches deep. I sowed two seeds per station 3 inches apart, they all came up and I removed the weakest one of each. That is when my spaniel Rosie, not content with eating my sweetcorn plants decided to eat the first row of baby parsnips. So now I have had to re sow those!!!
