  • Blight ?

Hi guys I noticed last night one or two off coloured leaves on my tomato plants could this be blight ? I had cleaned my greenhouse down with jeys fluid and thy are in grow bags so I haven't used any of the soil from last year it is only one or two leaves the rest of the plants look very healthy could it just be them still adjusting to the greenhouse ? They have only been out a few weeks thanks justin.

On the first pic it doesn't look like blight, but it is some sort of mould (botrytis or something). It's probably come from drips on a damp day -- do keep your greenhouse well ventilated, I'm quite surprised to see that at this time of year. I'd cut it off -- your tom will carry on growing just fine. Can't make anything out in the second pic.

Second pic seems to be mottling - that is more likely to be a feeding issue.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Ah ok I it's a feeding issue it could be because we haven't fed them yet lol I didn't think they were ready for it yet this is a wider angle pic of them.

It doesn't look like blight and its too early anyway. Leaves get bitten, damaged or indicate a lack of something. so I would pull off the leaf, feed the plant look for bugs and relax. The overall health looks to be good to me. Try to Google "Asprin for tomatoes" apparently it cures everything on tomatoes except shark attack.

Hi everyone I thought I would report back on this one as I have now fed my tomatoes over a week ago and they still aren't looking very good any suggestions or is anyone else having similar problems ?? New pics below.

Any help would be brilliant could it be that they have been scorched by the recent sun ??

Thanks for any help as always :-)

Looks like sun scorch to me. Have you splashed water on the leaves when watering your plants?

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Don't forget it is still cold at night even though it's nearly June. My temps last week at night barely went to 10C. If plants are too cold they fail to take up essential nutrients from the soil and go blotchy. Now things are warming up I am sure your plants will improve.

Thanks for the responses guys yeah I have splashed the leaves once or twice when watering at night could this be cussing them some trouble ? And I suppose your right it could be something to do with the low temps at night :-) I will just keep an eye on them.
