Under planting ?

I've planted out some Sprout plants today, and wonder what you'd recommend if anything for planting underneath. I was thinking maybe salady stuff/ radish? Spring onion? A quick growing crop? I know it will be some time before the sprout plant gets bigger and there is quite a lot of space around, which seems a waste,especially as I'm running out of space

I would use all of what you've said,I'm going to put lettuce in between mine as I'm running short of space too.
