  • TomTato Button above ?? Wow has any one seen this !!!

    Hi All

I hate growing potatoes please don't ask me why but I just find them a bit on the un interesting side,,,,, dont get me wrong I eat loads of them but just growing them does not excite me at all ....BUT tomatoes I love growing those and there is a button ABOVE that seems to be both together ....HOW clever is that ......

Is this completely new does any one know? Has any one tried anything like this before and are the results nice,,,,, MIGHT be worth trying so I have best of both worlds....

I have a few nice plug plants ready to put in this weekend really up for it now as the weather seems to be turning a bit and the sun is all I need to get out there!

    Any one any comments....Thanks Busylizzy

Appeared the end of last year. Part of the problem was it is a lot less expensive to plant a spud and a tomato seperately.

Think it is a grafted plant but if you lose one it is a fair amount of money to the great compost heap in the sky.

Have you tried potato's in a container?
I have 2 big pots of MP compost and manure with Anya potato's in. Gave up with planting any in the ground.

Yes I see what you mean about the price but it does mean you get more veg growing in the same space as if you just planted potatoes and the space they alone would take up so that is a plus side for me and it does mean I get toms with out thinking about potatoes they will be a nice side effect as it were...(my garden is very small so I have to make the most off ALL my space)

I know they are a little more money but I think I am gonna bite the bullet and try them... might put them in a tub as you say and see how I get on....

Thanks for your reply....AND HAPPY GARDENING this weekend its gonna be a nice one!! YAY
