I noticed some rather odd features to my strawberry leaves today:
Several of the leaves are folded and crispy, and there are also some sliky threads on some of them like the ones in the leaf above the folded one. There are also large chunks missing, which I had previously put down to probable slugs. I found a greyish-green caterpillar nestling under the silky threads, but unfortunately in my attempt to extract him I dropped him into the pot
I think this is strawberry leafroller, which is a small brown moth with caterpillars that do this sort of thing. Anyone else got these?
