I've had a very poor showing with tommy seedlings this year, but now I've got a few that are showing signs of doing a bit of something. I moved them out of the house a bit sooner than I would have liked into the unheated gh. They seem to have taken to it ok and are putting on a growth spurt right now. They seem to be a darker green than earlier efforts were, with one or two exceptions. Now to the real question. When I go to shut up in ghe evening, the toms have all raised their leaves almost vertically. What could be the cause? It' still quite light when I shut the gh, and the temps were still approaching 20° or there abouts.

If they are curling as well then on young plants it should be nothing to worry about especially as they are a nice dark green. One explanation maybe a wide variation in the day and night temperatures I have a few seedlings doing this at the moment just because of that.Potty by name Potty by nature.

I'd go for temperature fluctuation too, but its stayed nice and warm at night for the last few nights. When I open the gh in the morning, about 8, the plants are back to normal, which makes me think it mat be a lot to do with light.Comment

My flowering 30" tall toms did it today as well as the little ones I sowed 3 weeks ago. Fist day of wall to wall blue skies and 24c.Comment
