Hi, I planted the bulk of my tatties on Good Friday. All are doing really well, good growth, lovely colour, almost perfect. I say almost as there is little or no sign of flower buds........hows yours doing?.........P.S There are about 10 different varieties & only Orla has 1 flower.

I planted mine the same time BM, 5 different types. They are still only just poking their leaves through, let alone flowering. When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Red Duke of York and Lady C planted in buckets in the GH 26/02 been eating some of those for about a fortnight.
Those planted 15/03 outside are doing well (the haulms are well over the top of the dustbins) but not yet ready for harvest.
Main crop are obviously weeks away yet.Potty by name Potty by nature.

I've got flowers on the earlies in my polytunnel but the ones outside are only poking through now. Not all varieties flower anyway.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Charlottes inna bag planted 23 March - flower buds just forming, Desiree planted inna bag 31 March has well-formed flower buds, Lady C planted inna bag 31 March has no flowers.
All tatties in the soil are 2-3 weeks behind and have no flowers though are doing absurdly well compared to last year's overmanuring fiasco.http://mudandgluts.com - growing fruit and veg in suburbia

Thanks all, so glad I'm not alone. I thought I had done something wrong for a mo.............having said that, they have only been in the ground around 8 weeks so stoopid question really...........sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”
