I ate my first one fresh off the plot this morning! Reminded me why I won't buy them out of season.

Mine don't usually become ripe for another month so I'm feeling a bit jealous.

I've had oodles of flowers, but nothing resembling fruit shaped yet, never mind red. Another couple of weeks might change that I reckon.

Had plenty of fruit last weekend but all green, will look forward to checking tomorrow.

Some of my early strawberries (Vibrant) which spent the early spring in the growhouse are just tinged with pink this morning. Time to get out the net to keep off the birds, I think

I have got loads of green strawberries. My sister has just visited my plots and asked me how long it would take for them to ripen. Told her if we have a good week of sun them possibly a week or possibly two. So she has told me she will be back in a few weeks, meaning two, to see us. Check on the strawberries more like. She had loads last year ate most of them on the train back home.

Go and treat yourself to a plant from the garden centre with green fruit on it...and plant it next to the other one.Maybe your first one is lonely?

Go on...treat yourself...you've worked hard this year!

I picked 4 ripe ones today and there's loads of hooge fruit just ready to ripen - if the ants don't get them first

Strawberries are one thing I won't lack this year, I have around 100 plants at the allotment and at home about 30 that spread by runners from 5 last year, this is a tiny section of plants.

Honestly must be 100+ fruits alone in that picture thanks to the rain, wacky weather and some good soil.

Question: I've got about a dozen strawb plants, and although there looks to be plenty of fruit forming, there are a lot of big leaves too - the plants look nice and healthy. Should I trim away some of the leaves so the fruit is exposed to the sun a bit more, for ripening purposes or doesn't it matter?
                              Are y'oroight booy?
