Hi
I am a novice to growing vegetables and am looking for some advice on whether where we'd like to sow our seeds is a good spot or not.
We have a small south facing urban garden. We have created a good sized double height raised bed at the end of the garden which is about 2m squared which has been well cultivated and new compost added. It sits in front of the back garden wall and there is a relatively large shrub which has creeping roots and has some overhang over the bed (although this could be cut back). I am concerned about both these things! I would say that this area of the garden gets sun for around 6 hours a day.
What do you think? Is this going to work out for us or not?
I have attached a photo of the garden. You can see the proposed veg patch at the back of the garden. The photo was taken at 10am on June 1st.
Some advice would be appreciated.
Many Thanks
Alex
