Looks like greenfly to me but not certain. I would spray them with a mild soapy solution. Definitely aphids. Wash them off or squash them. Perhaps find a ladybird who will eat them for you. As it is quite a bad infestation and you are not going to be eating the leaves, I think this may be a situation where I would consider using an insecticide spray but that is up to you and how you feel about using chemicals. Look around where the plants are growing as you can be sure they will be lurking on other nearby plants too.

They look like immature greenfly to me, I had some on a tomato and just washed then of with water in a hand spray, funny thing is they didn't come back.photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html

Just greenfly I think: the white bits are the old skins sloughed by the baby ones. But yes, a few ant lions would help with the ones that survive the water spray.
