The first piccy is of the toms in the gh. They are Shirleys, except the two middle ones are Ailsa Craig. Potted in Jacks Magic with a bit of added FB&B and powdered eggshell. They look as if they are going to do the same trick as my Tigrellas did last year. First set of flowers about 8 in number, then second set, up to 2 dozen. I can't understand why they do that unless it's the FB&B.
Second set are the toms I intend to put outside which I set a little later. There's a Moneymaker, Tigrella, Gardeners Delight and an Alicante.

Lots of flowers but only the outside tumblers have tiny fruit. had a disaster yesterday and one of my sungold in the poly snapped while I was clipping it to the cane. Sheared right off about a foot below the top. I have knitted it back together but I am not hopeful. I will have to let a new side shoot develop now. Using big 45 litre containers seems to be paying off, far less watering and the plants are thriving.photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html

Really stupid question, but the TT i have in the conservatory, do i need to hand pollinate or will the draft from the open windows etc do it for me? I've got two hanging baskets outside and two inside. Tumbling toms in one inside and out, Garden pearl in the other. So comparing varieties and locations. So far i have one tomato set on the TT both inside basket and the outside, which makes me question the pollination

Mine are doing nicely
Brandywine first trusses have some nice cricket ball sized fruits on and the 6 plants have now been topped after 7 trusses, san marzano similar position, sungolds at the front have some more growing to do, will let these reach the top of the greenhouse I think. Hopefully the warmer weather due next week will ripen some up

They aren't even over 3 inches tall. Then again I didn't plant until May and my DIY watering contraption failed while I was on holiday the last 2 weeks so I'm luckily they are even alive.photo album of my garden in my profile http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...my+garden.html

I had one collapse overnight in my greenhouse, so much foliage I didn't realise I hadn't tied it up. It was like a forest giant in a rain forest collapsing, left behind a massive space, surprised it didn't take anything else out with it. Was about 4ft high doing well, gutted. That's 2 of my 4 black cherry tomato plants down the remaining 2 are looking good and tied up properly!
