        I would give it a go if nothing else planned for the space and it's not your only pumpkin.

              This year I have put a pumpkin plant in a large pot and put an obelisk over the top of it. So far, it is growing quite well and a pumpkin is developing. I've heard you can grow them upwards with plenty of support and that as long as you take the weight of the developing pumpkins, they should be fine. It's an experiment so don't know how well it will work, but here's hoping
