Beetroot Leafminer

Hi guys

Im a beginner so bare with me

My beetroot in a container were doing great but last couple of weeks they have gone downhill with funny looking white patterns on the leafs which from looking up seems to be leaf miners.

Is there anything I can do to combat these? I even thought about cutting off all but the new young leafs but that seems quite drastic.

Don't pull off the new leaves - Just pull off the infected ones, keep doing it as you see them. Don't put the leaves in your compost. The root should be fine

I just squash the leaves along the tracks - to squash the miner

Obviosuly, you'd probably not want to eat those leaves if you're picking any to eat
