Well here we go again with another sowing of broad beans ruined by thrip making small holes in the top leaves ( not blackfly) this has happened for a few years resulting in Poor yield with twisted, pathetic pods. This time i sowed some robin hood as they seemed a good yield variety. So far they are not very large in the ground. The same looks set to happen again DESPITE watering in thrip nematodes. I never used to have thrip but they seem to attack a lot of my plants and i have even been bitten. They are either black with white markings on or little white stick like things that spring away when you touch them.
What can i do about it ?
