2014 - How many tomato plants are we growing this year?

Please can I ask... How do you get your figures?? Iv been reading posts for sometime wondering ... Is it a estimate of how much each plant will produce??

No its the number of plants we are each growing.

I wasn't going to do any this year, but then I agreed to take part in a tomato trial organised by my local horticultural society. So now I'm doing three, all cherry types:

x1 Tomatoberry (grown before, highly recommended)
x1 Rainbow
x1 Vilma

Guess that makes 1203

4 x gardeners delight (gh)
1 x moneymaker (gh)

15ish minibel dwarf tomatoes (spread about various places)

I have 20 plants in the greenhouse and 23 outdoors on my two decks.

Think that makes 1272.

8 that fit nicely into the greenhouse, and another sneaky 5 that don't really fit just because I can't bear to choose between which get to live and which get composted...

yey!!!..just found some self seeded growing in the French bean bed ( yeh- I've not weeded for a while:)
Might as well grow them on...will transplant them when it gets cooler- and add the numbers on to this thread.

I've got 11 variety of tomato and 18 plants. Hope that helps with getting to 1500

Saved some seeds from the Red Zebra I'm growing, and had to make sure they were fertile by sowing 3. Yes they are
1375 + 3 = 1378
