  • Broccoli question

Hi my calabrese is nearly ready for picking and i wondered could i plant some broccoli raab straight in the bed after and the calabrese is out then rotate the crops to somewhere else next year? Or should i not plant the same crop twice in the same bed in a season? thanks

I' d plant and just rotate next year, I think we all get a bit over strict on the rotation thing sometimes.personally I start out with good intentions but reach the stage where I need somewhere to put all the unplanned bits I've acquired and just bung them in. I do rotate annually but try not to be too strict with odd bits and pieces/ 2 nd cropping

I too can't see it being a problem if the calebrese is healthy.

Both are heavy feeders so I would suggest a regular top up feed for the broccoli with something like home made liquid nettle feed to boost the nitrogen.
