Have just noticed on some of tomato plants, tiny white thingies, not sure what to call them, they are not yet white fly, any ideas please? Any if so should I be spraying them with something?
Immature green fly? Either way I have decided dealing with pests is best done with a hose pipe, I have had three lots of green fly this year and in each case I washed them of, they did not return.
Have had a closer inspection, and think they are actually white fly, theses are the toms all in pots of my balcony, so hosing them is not possible, so think I'll have to and get some kind of spray, or is it best to leave them?
I actually use horticultural soft soap (my chillies are precious!) but a little ecover wouldn't hurt. If its early stages blasting with just water from the spray bottle will reduce the numbers.
