  • So proud of our first season growing

My wife and I have never even kept herbs alive when purchased from garden Center let alone planting veg from seed.

So far we have around 10 baby corn plants all at least 3-4 feet tall, peppers seem to be coming along (time will tell) and we have our first dwarf beans and tomatoes showing.

All this in containers in our yard. It's very exciting as this is our first ever attempt.

Next week we get the key to our allotment so this is when the really hard work starts.

Thanks for reading and I hope to keep posting my pics and stories.

It's exciting, isn't it? And a great way to get kids eating veg.

I love growing my own. My little Granddaughter had a good look round the garden to see the progress yesterday and was rewarded with two carrot pulls and a potato furtle. Can't beat it

Awesome! Sometimes I"m more excited with growing something than actually eating it like the globe artichokes.

It's really lovely sitting down to a meal that is almost all your own produce tho.

And great to get the kids involved, there's a thread somewhere about where people got their interest in gardening and it was often parents or grandparents
