Sadly that is so so true :-(
I'd hate it if I had no tomatoes though - that would be very sad!
thanks again - I'll update when I have more data

OK checked the tomatoes last night. They are still distorted, and haven't grown that much since last weekend. I fed them on Sunday night. One chilli (on the staging on the other side of the greenhouse) has definitely been affected by something - leaves curling up from the end, and new leaves looking distorted - though I haven't checked for e.g. red spider mite

If it is accidental weedkiller damage from next door, I don't really know how it managed to affect all the toms - though the worst affected is right next to the ventilation slats. How this got to all the tomatoes though is a bit of a mystery!

Someone (BillHH) mentioned spraying the leaves with aspirin - what sort of concentration? I might as well give it a go - I'll also go check for Epson Salts...

      thanks lots

        Have a look at this

Feed tomatoes ASPIRIN say scientists to fight disease and boost yield | Mail Online

They recommend 500 mg per gallon, but I have also read it is hard to overdose. I use half a 300 mg tablet to a litre. I buy the dispersable ones they dissolve much quicker.

Apparently they have found it triggers the plants immune system and can help plants fight off disease. Of course if your problem is spray drift it wont help but it wont harm either.

          Hmm.

          "fusarium and verticillium blight"?
"Do not compost, because infected spores can survive and pass the disease on to next year's crop"?

This sort of lazy inaccurate journalism makes me wonder if there is anything in it at all, whatever James Wong says.

Yes well that's the Daily mail for you, but I have read about Aspirin from several sources. I sprayed mine a month ago and I have honestly never seen such healthy plants.

              For information:
Sprayed the tomatoes with aspirin today
One or two seem to be (possibly) recovering - most are still pretty sick with very deformed leaves :-(
They are also growing slowly :-((
I'll keep updating in the hope that this might help others in the future
