Mutated Cauliflower??

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know what has happened to a few of my cauliflowers?

The other ones are "Normal" colli shaped

If they were in containers my first guess would be lack of water/nutrients at some stage in their growth, looks like they are going over.

Hi,no idea,it seems to be a bad cauliflower year where i am,i planted some all year round several months ago,they nid not grow much leaf and are now bolting like mad,the over winter ones for picking next spring are ready to pick now,most of them are really scabby looking things,so a waste of time and space,i am thinking it's down to the weather,being to dry,

Personally I would eat it. In a stir fry maybe.

Yes I have had most of mine do this, they are going to seed.

You should be able to get something off it too but get it picked quickly and then it'll be fine stir fried or similar.

Most of mine did this too - I only got one good cauliflower this year! I think it's down to the nice weather we've been having. Brilliant for us but not so much for the poor cauli's! And I'll be the first to admit that I don't always water my plants religiously. You can still eat them though, they still make for a fair cauliflower cheese, or put them in stir fries as other people have said.

Picked, cooked and eaten today, first one I've grown and it tasted lovely

I must be the odd one out as this is the first year we've had a decent crop of cauliflowers! Unfortunately had to pick them all in one go as off on hols - so kept the neighbours happy by handing them out! I blitzed a couple and stuck in the freezer for "cauliflower rice" - that'#s an option for the "slightly over" ones.
