      Hi looking good

My garlic up in the north east is covered in rust however I dug one up to see what I had and it was smaller than yours so I am waiting another two three weeks and feeding them with my comfrey potion

I ate the small one I dug by splitting up the middle and frying it was del

      Happy gardening

I didnt think harneck garlic falls over? The bottom leaves are yellow and look dead. Is this normal?

I've grown nothing but hardnecks this year. One type has all fallen over the rest is just wavering....any day now.

Bulb looks good by the way although the stalk looks a bit green for pulling

They all fall over when ready to crop, although early cropped (known as green) is apparently really nice

I'm a big fan of green garlic.
Has a more mellow, fresh taste similar to wild garlic. Of course it doesn't keep anywhere near as long, but great if you are impatient like me.

So should I leave the rest of the crop in for a few more weeks?

Has it split into cloves? If it has lift them, if not leave them in.

Dig one up and try splitting it

I have dug one up and it seems split. But I dug another and it is still round. So maybe a couple more weeks?

Tell you what, pull half of them and leave half, cover your options. The one you show looks a bit green and might still have some growth in it but is big enough for sure. If you pull some they need drying out before storage which is what they will do if you leave them in the ground, so either way you win.
