I've been quite busy (read as lazy) up to now and what with the weather taking so long to warm up I've not bothered to plant pretty much anything this year. I've already bought a few tomato and chilli plugs etc but now I'm starting to miss homegrown cuc's and courgettes. Am I too late to sow them and have any kind of crop? I don't have a greenhouse but I do have a few blowaways that normally house the cuc's and stuff like that. Or worst case scenario is it worth buying any plugs/plants? I wish I'd got my finger out earlier...

I'd never say never so give it a go under the blowaways.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

We have a local Wyevale garden centre - I was down there yesterday and they had all sorts of plants reduced, including courgettes, cucumbers and tomatoes, but also loads of veg and herbs. Well worth a visit to the garden centre just in case.A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP. - Leonard Nimoy
