For that sort of money Dan, I think I would buy a good strong garden fork.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

I have a tool a wee bit similar to that Dan, though it's got an extra part to lever soil with
Amazon.com : Flexrake CLA329 Classic Dandelion Weeder : Hand Weeders : Patio, Lawn & Garden
To be honest, I've found it quite ineffective and often the roots snap in the ground- I prefer a sharp narrow trowel to properly dig out the weed rootsLast edited by WPG; 28-07-2014, 09:07 PM.

Is that tool broken or just bent really bad? (just kidding)
I think Garden Weasel makes a similar product.
Thanks for inserting the pictures in my post.

I have to say, it depends on the weeds you are dealing with DWS. In my case I use a fork instead of a spade to deal with turning the earth over and digging up longer rooted weeds like docks, nettles, dandelions and bindweed. A two pronged daisy fork is designed to work on daisies in lawns. I also use a border fork - narrower than a full sized fork- because I am an old lady and am giving myself an easier job digging over my beds.Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
