When will it all turn red/ripen??

I have loads of tomatoes, big, small, plum, tumbling. But all green, not one red yet!
I know I'm impatient but worrying as now in August. Will they ripen in time? All outside but in a very sunny spot.
At this rate I'm going to have lots of green tomato chutney!! 😄
Also the same with my mini bell peppers - all still green!

Same here. One of them looks to be on the turn and my Greenhouse doesn't get that much sun.
I think last year mine didn't start turning red into the second week of August.

It probably depends on the varieties you are growing and when you sowed them. Mine are currently doing this:
Shirley (in the house) - plenty of red tomatoes from seeds sown in January and side shoots taken from them and potted up have green fruit.
Shirley (outdoors) from side shoots - no red fruit yet
Shirley (greenhouse) from side shoots - 1 red fruit today.
Sungold (outdoors) have been grown in plastic growhouses until frost has gone - have had about 20 ripe tomatoes from March sown plants.
Tumbling Tom (outdoors) - March sowing, 1 of 3 plants has a couple of red fruit.
Totem (outdoors) - these were grown on indoors until the green fruit were quite big. Several red fruit from March sowing.
Chocolate Cherry (outdoors) plenty of green fruit but no sign of turning yet. March sowing.
Bajaja (outdoors) plenty of green fruit but none red yet. March sowing.
Belle (outdoors and greenhouse) plenty of large fruit on both but nothing looking remotely like turning red yet - this is a beefsteak variety. April sowing.

Apart from the Belle, which were an afterthought, and the Shirley which were specifically for the house, all of the seeds were sown on the same day, and treated exactly the same until May.

I have had a few but I think the glut will come in about a fortnight.

Two weeks ago I was despairing of ever having ripe toms but now I'm picking about 2kg every other day.
It's another funny old year but once it starts everything seems to be ripening at once!

picking about 5 a day at the moment .The "Sweet millions " are prolific and also were the first to ripen .followed by the Black russian , and gardeners delight are just starting to ripen. I have never grown Sweet Million before but they taste delicious and I,truss has 85 fruit and all rhe rest are between 45-60 per truss.

Only our cherry toms seemed to ripen promptly this year, the others have taken time to get going but the glut really started this weekend for us, so have been making loads of pasta sauce tonight and freezing it.

I ha had 3ripe ones so far, and a few more coming on. I don't know what varieties the are as the were given to me by my neighbour, one is an orange cherry and the other is a small red. Taste delicious though

I've picked about 20 ripe Tomatoberry tomatoes so far. Loads of green ones, and quite a few flowers still to develop.

I'm growing Big Banana sweet peppers, which haven't even flowered yet.

I'm not too worried. Plenty of the season left, even if the temperature drops a few degrees.

I've only picked 4 Toms off so far. A couple look like they should be ready this weekend. I have quite a few large Big American Reds Toms that I'm waiting for. I'm not sure if the bigger the Tom the longer it takes.

If the toms are happy they will continue to grow to optimum size before they actually ripen. So yes I usually find the larger ones are the last to ripen.

Yes, turning yellowish is usually the first sign of ripening starting.
