Please help my squashes!

A week ago I couldn't see the squashes because of the thick covering of leaves and I was bouncing with excitement at how fast they were swelling - now they leaves are wilting and turning yellow (brown and crispy at the edges). One of them has a lot of brown/black spots (eggs?) underneath - no idea if that's related.



I've been watering daily in the very hot weather (too much?) and feeding with tomato feed once a week since the squashes appeared. The leaves on the longer vines are fine - it's just the ones around the base which are yellowing. They have been splashed a few times while watering. I have just let them grow and there are 2/3 largish squashes developing on each so far. The Patty Pan plants growing close to them have some white mildewy spots but I gather that this is not unusual?

I've done plenty of Googling but still not sure what's wrong! Please can anyone help (or tell me this is normal and I'm worrying about nothing) - this is my first try at this and I really want to be able to harvest these lovely squashes. Thank you!

I'm a bit of a novice at this veg growing lark...so I'm sure someone much more experienced will be along soon. However, I am wondering if it's a nutrient deficiency. Squash are really hungry plants and I'm not sure if tomato feed has everything they need. I've planted mine in raised beds of well-rotted manure and I feed with seaweed. Not sure if you're able to add any wellrotted manure as a mulch now, or maybe some chicken manure pellets???

I have no clue about the strange black/brown spots, I'm afraid.

I did add (not too well rotted) manure when I planted them but I did wonder whether it would be enough. I could get some seaweed too so that's worth thinking about - thanks. I wonder if it would work as a 'tea', like nettle and comfrey...

Do not panic,looks like all you done is get water on the leaves,then the sun has dries the m,next time you water,leave the rose end of the can,and place the spout near the ground,or if using a hose pipe,place it under the leaves before switch on,then keeping the hose on the ground treat it as a snake holding further up the hose and drag it about under all the leaves,the water will find its own way
