What's your favourite beetroot?

I grew rainbow beet this year but was not keen on the white beets so it was a bit of a waste.
I have really enjoyed pickling the red beets though, so I wondered what you guys recommend/have as a favourite.

I like cylindra for the flavour, golden are pretty but the taste is milder.

I've grown Kestrel this year. A bit on the small side, but taste is well nice.

I grow Red Ace, Pablo and Alto (a cylindrical one). All pickle realy well.

Boltardy and Cylindra for me. Boring, I know but I like them and they do well in my soil.

This year I've grown Egyptian flat and Bolthardy and both are tasty.

Golden beetroot for me....lovely flavour, non of the staining !!!

Beetroot just isn't the same when it's not red, it's not just the colour, I find the taste isn't as good either. I usually have a globe variety - boltardy, Detroit and a cylindrical one for pickling.
