is it to late to plant some more parsnips?

the one's i planted the chickens pulled up and eat.
they went in 2 months ago and now i don't have any.

i love parsnips and i would like to grow some more.

Yes, think it's a bit too late Rita. Ideal sowing time is Spring, nights are closing in now so there's little growing time for parsnips and they are on the ground a long time.

make sure you use fresh seed next year and cover your crop from chickens,cats,pigeons, you may get black aphids later in the year but just spray with soft soap.that should sort things out,they are not a problem but it is better to get rid. Hope this helps.
