If you cut down the foliage as soon as you spot the blight symptoms you should still be able to harvest the potatoes (don't know how big they will be). If you leave them in the ground they will either rot (they can't grow any more as there is no foliage to feed them) or they will become infected by the blight spores washing down through the ground. Dig them up and use what you can.
