There is something killing my peppers. Think it might be a fungus.

Which bit are you worried about with your pepper? There looks to be a dead seed head and a very healthy looking fruit. Am I missing whatever it is that concerns you?

lettuce....have a taste of the leaves, if not bitter eat asap.
if you want seeds just leave it to do it's own thing.

Nip off the rotten flower- yup it's got fungus on it- maybe increase the airflow?
If I can see properly, the pepper has black streaks on it cos it's about to go red.

Is that something like very fine spider web stuff around the dead pepper flower? If so, try and look for more traces of it; you may have red spider mite, which likes peppers. I had it on chillies, with those symptoms. Treated it with a bug spray and the plants recovered fine.
