Pumpkin question

Hi,
I got some pumkin seeds from the seed swap all the packet had on it was 'pumpkin jap' on it.
Just a question is how do you know when it is ready? At the moment if you tap it then it sounds like a ripe mellon.
Have hopefully attatched a pic of it. Very proud of it. Am like Gromit and his marrow in Curse of the Wererabbit.

Hi. Normally to tell when a pumpkin is ready, it's to use your fingernail and if it is hard to break the skin and pierce it then this is a sure sign.
