          This week I have eaten:

          Lettuce Salad Bowl

          Pak Choi

Nasturtium (the last leaf before the frost killed them)
          Parsley (flat leaf)

From frozen (in soup and frozen dishes):

You're doing so well Penellype - and putting me to shame.
My life has been taken over by puppies recently but I'm going to kick start it again for New Year.
Look out 5 a week, here I come

I'm struggling with the sowing and planting really - just chucking bits of seeds in here and there for baby greens, and ruthlessly eating the lot so I have room for more pretty much as soon as they are ready. On the plus side though, I did make a lovely salad this lunchtime, using bits and bobs from these tiny sowings

I will join in but the eating side is completely rubbish at the moment (last year in the veg patch for me was very poor)

                      Here we go:

                      Beetroot (pickled)
                      Red Cabbage (pickled)
                      Cue/gherkins (pickled)
                      Jerry chokes
                      green garlic
                      parsnip
                      Yacon
                      Oca
Rosemary, thyme and winter savoury (every little helps)

I am shocked, that is so much better than I thought, not likely to last tho.

                      Sowing:

                      Shallot - Ambition
                      Onion - Senshu
                      Onion - Sturon
                      Leek - Giant Bulgarian
                      Leek - Pot leek

Have you ever had any luck with shallots grown from seed? Tempted to try it if I can get some at the weekend, seems as I have my onions and leeks sown already

Banana shallots can only be grown from seed and they are the only ones I have grown in the past and they did well. This is a first for a round shallot from seed, but ambition is 1. an F1 variety 2. one apparently used for show.

                          I hope that helps

Quite a challenge this week with the frost making harvesting any leafy veg and roots from outdoors impossible. I moved a tub of carrots into the garage so that I would have something fresh and managed to harvest a kohlrabi before it got too cold.

                            This week I have eaten:
Tomato Sungold (still a few of the ones I picked green gradually ripening, not great flavour)
                            Potato Desiree
                            Carrot Nantes Frubund
Kohlrabi Vienna Mix (this one was green)
                            Lettuce Salad Bowl (baby leaves)

From frozen (in soup and frozen dishes):
                            Courgette Piccolo, Green Bush
                            Green pepper
                            Various tomatoes
                            Onion Red Baron

                            In chutney:
                            Tomato Chocolate Cherry
                            Pepper California Wonder
                            Onion Sturon

                            Sowed
Pea Hurst Green Shaft for pea shoots

                            Planted
                            2 tomato sideshoots (Shirley)

I've completely failed to keep this updated
I've been eating plenty of home grown veggies each week , not sure I've sown or planted something each week though. Best I bow out and leave it to the pro's, much admiration
