            You lot - honestly
You won't catch me making comments about men's underwear, not even brief ones - I'll just show you a photo of a little Tromba

Gem squash are absolutely brilliant for this VC, if you cannot find seeds let me know and I'll pop some in the post for you.

They're the size of tennis balls, cut in half de-seeded boiled until soft, then a lil salt and pepper and a knob of butter, perfect. They even have their own attractive green serving bowl built into the outside

I've grown Red Kuri and Kabocha squash successfully up a bamboo frame, you need to direct the stems and tie them up but you don't need to support individual fruits, I just make sure the stem is tied to the cane just below the fruit.

I have a couple of rose arches with fencing mesh (5cm by 10cm holes) wired on tying them together. I've had Baby Bear growing up this and all I had to do was let the vines grow a bit, poke them through the mesh, let them grow a bit more and poke them back. The sqash support themselves nicely without any need of my undergarments what so ever.

Been sorting my courgette/squash/pumpkin seeds into groups ready for sowing.
                      Bush
                      Sprawling (and heavyweight)
Climbing (with tendrils or having small fruits).

The suggestions on this thread for Climbing squashes were :-

                      Tromba d/Albenga aka Tromboncino
                      Small Sugar pumpkin
                      Long Green Trailing marrow
                      Sweet Dumpling
                      Table Dainty marrow
                      Gem squash
                      Red Kuri
                      Kabocha
                      Baby Bear pumpkin.

Any more, before I find some seeds and start sowing

I use festival as a climber ,it crops better than letting it trail, both in quantity and size of fruits

                          Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

I've sown 4 seeds each of:-

                          Tromba d/Albenga aka Tromboncino
                          Sweet Dumpling
                          Table Dainty marrow
                          Hooligan pumpkin
                          Baby Bear pumpkin.
                          Festival
Ichi Kuro (which may be the same as Potimarron)
                          Lemon Courgette
                          Potimarron

If they all germinate, I'll need a lot more fences and arches than I have now

                            Bumping this for 2016!!

2015 was a rubbish year for squashes, compared to 2014.
Just about to find some seeds and hope for better squashy things in 2016

And did you find the perfect climbing squash VC?

I would very much like to grow a lot more Black futsu than I have room for this year.
I also have have some spagetti squash and hasta la pasta seeds (all from VSP last year so thanks folks) which call to me sweetly.

I wonder if could persuade them to go upwards...the fruits are quite large but if it could be done just think of the space I could save,,,,

Last year was a write-off, muddled, so I'm still looking for the perfect one - although Tromboncino is a must-grow every year
